We invite you to join in the celebration of the Holiday Half Marathon as it comes to the cities of Pomona, San Dimas and La Verne, Sunday, December 9, 2012! Festivities begin on Saturday, December 10th as the Health & Fitness Expo opens at Fairplex So Cal from 7am-12pm, along with the Holiday 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Penguin Waddle! Admission to the Expo is free to the public!
Additionally, we would like to provide you with some information as to how the Holiday Half Marathon and related events may be impacting your area on Sunday, December 9, 2012.
Events Schedule
Saturday, December 8th
- Health & Fitness Expo – 7am to 12pm
- Holiday 5K Run/Walk - 9am
- 1 Mile Penguin Waddle - 10am to 12pm
Sunday, December 9th, Race Day
- Half Marathon – 8am
- Expo and Finish Line Festival – 6am to 12pm
Please note that the Half Marathon operates as an out-and-back course, so streets will be re-opened for traffic as the last athletes pass an area. Please also note that these are approximate times of street re-openings, times may vary by about 30 minutes. Police officers will monitor all major intersections to allow cars to cross the course once there is a break in the race. Please allow extra time for travel because of the street closures and potential traffic delays.

Puddingstone Drive 9:00am (between Fairplex Dr and Raging Waters Dr, east bound lanes)
McKinley Ave 11:00am (between Bonelli Regional Park and Fairplex Dr, east bound lanes)
Fairplex Drive 11:30am (between Fairplex Dr/McKinley Ave and Puddingstone Dr, north bound lanes)

Your support provides encouragement and excitement for everyone. Every wave, applaud and smile given to a participant reinforces the collaboration of the foothill communities’ support of the event.
