Parents and Kids – Join us on Saturday, December 14, 2013 the DAY BEFORE the Holiday Half Marathon for the 1 Mile Kids Fun Run – (ages 6 years old to 12 years old).
All Kids get a Penguin Finisher’s Medal and Official Finisher’s Certificate!
Kids Fun Run Start Times, Saturday, December 14, 2013
10:00 am- 10 years old and older wave
10:20 am- 8-9 years old wave
10:40 am- 7 and under wave
Registration for the 2013 1 Mile Penguin Waddle will open soon.
Important! A Parent or Guardians must sign a Race Participation Liability Waiver for every child participating on race day. Should someone else be bringing your child to the event, the Parent or Legal Guardian must sign and have them bring a signed Waiver Form to be able to pickup the child’s race bib. Kids Run Rules
We understand that many parents want to run with their kids during the kids run. Unfortunately, we ask that NO PARENTS RUN WITH KIDS DURING THE KIDS RUN. Parents in the kids run in the past have caused more harm than help and we would truly appreciate your cooperation in this request.
- The kids run course is monitored by medical, event staff and completely safe.
- You will be able to see your kids at numerous points of the course.
- We will make sure all kids are safe and start the race after talking with them about safety and how to run the mile course.
