A unique addition to the area, the Holiday Half Marathon encompasses the beauty of the Pomona Valley.  Starting and finishing at Fairplex So Cal, home of the LA County Fair, the course takes runners into the beautiful Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park, around Puddingstone Lake , through the surrounding communities of San Dimas, La Verne and Pomona, and back through Fairplex So Cal for a “behind the scenes” view of the fairgrounds.

Course Time Limit

The race time limit for the half marathon is 3 hours and 45 minutes from the 8:00 am start time.  This time limit is based off a a 17 minute mile pace.

Participants who exceed the time limit will be allowed to continue on the course, but will be asked to continue the route as a pedestrian and will need to obey all traffic and safety laws.

Hills

The Pomona Valley is a naturally hilly landscape and while certain inclines could not be avoided, this course was designed to be as friendly to runners as possible.

2012 Aid Stations

Aid stations will begin at Miles 2, and will be at miles 3.5, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11.  Scroll down to see specific energy stops along the course!

Professionals from Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center will be staffing the two (2) on-course Medical Aid Stations, as well as the Main Medical Station at the Finish Line.  Need medical help?  Here are the Medical Aid Stations throughout the course:

  • Station 1 – Mile 4.5
  • Station 2 – Mile 7/9

Each on-course Medical Aid Station will be stocked with water and electrolytes to help you get back on your feet and running again!  Look for the Red Shirts on the course if you need any assistance!

Energy Stations

These stations are there to energize you to the Finish Line!

  • Electrolytes will be served at Miles 2, 5, 7, 9, and 11

Water Stations

Hydration is key while running!  Stop by any of our Water Stations at Miles 2, 3.5, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11.
